The article I posted above says that the North Adelaide hospital would not be affected.
Surprising really, that they didn't centralize the services in the new facility, allowing them to sell off the North Adelaide site (which I presume is worth a fortune)

As per the article:serca wrote:I would assume the new hospital will also incorporate North Adelaide Calvary? That is also a large plot of land that would be and excellent development opportunity. The views of the city from there are amazing.
Calvary’s North Adelaide and Central Districts hospitals will not be affected by the new facility.

Nope. North Adelaide Calvary stays. The new hospital does pull in their North East Rd rehab hospital.serca wrote:I would assume the new hospital will also incorporate North Adelaide Calvary? NA has quite a lot of heritage hospital buildings, and their rather excellent maternity wards.

Cheers guys.
On a side note and heavy one at that, the North Adelaide site also provides the service of the Mary Potter Hospice. A mate of mine lost his wife far too early recently and on a visit to the hospice which provides a very important service, I got into a convo with the staff management. I was surprised and disgusted at how little government funding they receive. Their website has a link to donations for anyone interested.

John Holland have now taken over the building on the corner of Pulteney St & Bath Lane which was formally a dance studio as their site office.

The old York Motors showroom on the corner of Pulteney & Angas has been fenced off front & back. Likely to see demo of building very soon.

There is a piling machine on site. No time wasted here.

The top soil and any old foundations have been removed and fresh fill has been laid and compacted. There are 2 piling rigs and 2 mobile cranes and assorted tractors on site. Picture 30/7/16.
It is a very large site.

I thought the hospital was having basement car parking? If it's not this will go up a lot quicker.
