The complications with having a crane located within the lift core... Aside from the glass panels at the front, how will they put the roof on the top level? I see a lot of disruption ahead on both KW/Waymouth Street/s with a mobile crane, just saying...

Nothing uncommon about this situation - lots of buildings under construction have lots of temporary openings for cranes and the like. They get filled in later (the steel rebar gets screwed into the connections embedded at the interface with the existing concrete).

From synergy construct Facebook. It looks like they've put the wrong colour cladding in some cases. Maybe it's meant to be "arty". Call me old fashioned but with a building this plain I think sticking to symmetry would have been appropriate.

What you're seeing is the different floor layouts (internal walls closer to the windows), and the fact that they've started cleaning the glazing on the left hand side.

It'll be all uniform once completely cleaned.
Walking on over....

I meant mainly the orange cladding until only half way up the right side and then a random piece again up the top.

Looks a lot taller than it actually is - enhanced by slim build and nearby bldgs only half the height. I like the overall impact.

I think the odd bit of gold cladding at the top on the west side matches up with the gold cladding installed at the top on the southern side, facing Victoria Square. See today's picture. But the west top still looks odd.

The tower crane is planned to be dismantled this weekend.

Yes, the King William Street entrance to Waymouth Street was blocked off when I walked past tonight.

Looking at that it doesn't look like a building that's just being built.

I could be wrong, but it looked more like the beginnings of the planned upgrade to Waymouth St.

I would've thought the removal of the crane would be best from King William St, not reaching over from Waymouth..!

It's the crane removal, at least that's what one of the guys there said, and if i understand it right they are mounting a crane on Waymouth to bring the tower crane down onto King William (clearly I am not an expert....)

FFS, closing down one side of King William street for 24 hours ???

Honestly, which government department do you work for, as that sounds like an idea which would come from a public servant or an MP.

Adelaide is a north - south city. It would be chaos.
