Delay on construction of fare gates at Noarlunga Railway Station.
From the 'Tiser.
Design complications have again delayed the installation of ticket gates at Noarlunga Train Station
DESIGN complications have again delayed the installation of ticket gates at Noarlunga Train Station.
The Transport Department told the Southern Times Messenger in July the gates were expected to be installed by the end of the year after design issues delayed work by six months.
However, a department spokesman said last week the design issues meant work would now start next year.

Albert Park station is getting a minor upgrade. Land around it has been cleared, the platform is getting a fresh surface with tactile tiles and a new shelter (albeit small) is getting constructed.

I believe there may be some general maintenance work undertaken on the OH/Grange lines during the closure in January. I know that Croydon Station is getting a bit of a facelift in terms of garden beds and parking area immediately around them. Think new benches and possibly shelters are on the cards as well. Hopefully this will extend to other stations along the line.

So I read in the South Road/North-South Corridor thread that the Tonsley rail extension has already secure funding from the Feds.....so when will it start?

It will probably be built in conjunction with the whole Darlington corridor, so that would mean it will be completed in around 2 years.

How good is the new artwork at Woodville Park? If only all stations got this sort of treatment...

It seems like the 90s are making a bit of a comeback, whether we like it or not

I like the artwork, Woodville Park was looking pretty tired.

The more I think about it the more they were. Architecture aside though - not sure that arches and pastels should really make a comeback.

Ahh, Woodville park. Another station that serves no purpose and really should go. (Unless, of course the line is converted to light rail, then you may have an argument against closing it).

Woodville Park does serve a purpose, but it's overlooked: it's the closest station to Arndale Shopping Centre.
