Not helping, Dvious. Responding to a personal attack with another personal attack is escalation.
People have been spoken to. They've been told what they did wrong, and why it was wrong. If their bad behaviour continues then they will be banned.
Let's leave it at that (for now).

wow...ok...
Let's just follow up ghs' racist ranting with some blatant sexism.
Can admin clean up this thread please? These past few pages are not unlike what one might read on an Advertiser comment board, and quite frankly I don't want to waste my time reading shit like this.
It's offensive and completely unrelated to anything to do with the Echelon development.

Any updates on these buildings? I Wouldn't be fussed if that average looking concrete building never saw daylight, however the slim hotel has some merit too it.
I believe they are placeholders, they are not part of this development.
If I understood the sales rep correctly, at least the slim building is still on the cards down the line. Didn't really talk about details, it was mostly to confirm that the plans for that building imply that it's only 20 floors or so, meaning it doesn't block the views from the apartment floors of the main tower.
How would the sales rep for Echelon know about other potential future developments that haven't yet been proposed or even envisioned?
As far as I understand, those "grey boxes" are just potential neights on those neighboring blocks.
Unless that sales rep you spoke to knows something more, then if I was you I'd go back and pump him for more information and let us all know here

These blocks are controlled by the same developer, actually the sales centre for 322KWS happens to be on the exact site of the 'slim hotel' (drawings of which can be found in the DAC documents for 322KWS as well). So I do assume the sales rep will have gotten enough info and assurance by Karidis that he won't build another building blocking the views from the apartments of his flagship complex....
and sorry, I am now on the other side of the globe for the holidays, so feel free to visit the sales centre yourself

New render from the website. Not the most accurate i would say but gives you an idea.

I'm going to put it out there and I know I'm in the minority here. I still don't think I really like it.
The redesigned podium looks great but, whilst I like the glass, the tower element just looks like a fairly uninspiring flat-sided and relatively featureless box to me - a bit like something that might have been built in the 90s.
I really hope this one grows on me during construction as it's exactly what the area needs. Still think more effort could have been put into the design for something so large and dominating (am not knocking either aspect by the way - I'm all for more big statement buildings in the CBD, especially KWS South).

You're not alone. I'm not a fan, but I don't oppose it either.

More than happy to see this one go ahead based on what it will bring to the area and the skyline. Probably unreasonable of me to expect to personally love the design of every proposal out there. Looking forward to it taking shape.

That's obviously not a high quality render like the previous ones posted of the actual towers them selves, and is meant for illustration/perspective purposes.

Agree 100%. I'm impressed with the renders - nothing too flashy or gaudy and IMHO will stand the test of time re style. A bit disproportionate to the local area now, but not for long. Adelaide should be more than a two storey city in the main thoroughfare. Really looking forward to seeing this built. Will also help join KWS sth to KWS nth re CBD high rise.
