This was mentioned a few years ago on this forum somewhere, but I don't think the tenants were mentioned. Unless they have moved in since that post.

Don't know if this video of the Darlington upgrade has been posted on here yet.

A few points on that video:
- this project is gargantuan
- I hope that's not actually the colour scheme for the bridge sections
- where's the Tonsley line extension? I couldn't spot it

The Tonsley line section is a separate project that needs funding.SRW wrote:A few points on that video:

In other news, who wants to buy the South Road tram bridge?

The video was posted in April 2016, the Tonsley Line extension was funded in May 2016.SRW wrote:A few points on that video:

The Tonsley line extension is already funded by the Feds.

Ah, didn't look at the timestamp - that makes sense. Assumed it was new as only now posted here (and we don't miss much).Norman wrote:The video was posted in April 2016, the Tonsley Line extension was funded in May 2016.SRW wrote:A few points on that video:

It's pretty much 12-14 lanes the whole way (inc. service roads). Surprised the city bound lane config is only 3 lanes given that the Southern Expressway has 4 city bound lanes from Reynella onwards - could be a choke point.

It is only 3 lanes heading south after it breaks off from the marion road exit. It only grows back to 4 lanes for the intersection, which won't be needed if it's free flowing.

Great videos Norman, well done.
Ok so what's the likelihood they will announce and fund any future stage/s before these projects finish in 2 years? It would be great to keep the momentum going and I hope it's not another 10 -20 year saga/wait, as these were to begin.
Also surely the Pym St intersection/lights have to be removed/closed to have a clear run to Regency Rd. This would be the next over/under pass that could/should start next ie 2018/2019. It would then just leave say Torrensville to Tonsley (T3?) to finish it off. So maybe 20km and $5 billion.
