Adelaide doesn't have an economy to support a building of that height.
That is the project name, not the name of the apartments and secondly are you an economist?

Mate, I am not an economist. How could a business justify a development of that height when
we haven't had anything more then 132 metres over the last 35 years ?

They obviously know more about Adelaide's economy than you... Do you seriously think they just guess and then hope there will be a demand for it once it's been built?

Oh so your basing your prediction on no economic basis whatsoever...interesting.

Is there a height where building becomes significantly more expensive? Is it less than 230m?

Otherwise, I can't see how the economy wouldn't support a 230m building when apparently it'll happily support several 100m+ buildings...

It's fair to say that Datong / JWDT doesn't have much integrity given what has happened with U2 on Waymouth.

Once again do you know the story behind the delay at U2? You're very quick to jump and make accusations without research or fact.

Yes I know the story behind U2. They said that construction had started 18 months ago and still to this day, nothing has happened.
Interesting enough if you were to go back through the U2 thread, you will find that I was the only one on the forum who successfully
predicted that nothing will happen.

I also remember something about a "Valley of Death" prediction.

We know what has and has not happened, what we do not know is WHY. Without this knowledge it is irresponsible to throw around accusations and assumptions.

I was correct with that prediction also. There was a dip in the number of cranes on the skyline at the
end of last year and we are now on the way back up.

I wouldn't call what we had a "Valley of Death" though. What was it, a reduction in 1, 2, 3 cranes?

No you weren't correct. Your definitely of a "valley of death" seems to be very different compared to everyone else on this forum.

If anything we reached a so called "valley of death" last decade or the 90s.

At 230m, the building has to be in the south east corner of the city - I'm talking like near Calvary Hospital area. AAL / CASA wouldn't allow it otherwise.

The jives with the Pulteney/Flinders St corner speculation. Can't be much further south, as they do specify "core".
