Yep, I go through there fairly often, and hardly ever saw anyone there.

That, and the rent on a double tenancy, would make for a pretty short term arrangement.

Discount Vitamin Warehouse on King William St has closed its doors (in my opinion, it was an actual rip-off of Chemist Warehouse)
The Sub Klub (between Grenfell & Pirie St) only lasted for a very brief time (which in an unusual case it was a rip-off of Subway)

And I think Cash Wizard is a rip-off of Cash Converters.

There was an application by officeworks for fit out a few months ago.

It will probably mostly be just their essentials, such as stationery.

Perhaps the 'Officeworks Opening Soon' sign on the window is a giveaway?

Based on what they've already done and the layout of the store, I'd say it'll be your smaller office goods and photocopying/printing services. Similar to the offering in Melbourne CBD stores.

It was mentioned weeks ago that Officeworks was opening up. I was just throwing my opinion at what things they could stock.

Completely unrelated though I hope with developments like the GPO development and Echelon, we see a shift of retail expand from the Rundle Mall precinct / East End. Be good to see the Adelaide GPO transformed into a retail hub and more activity along the southern end of King William Street.

The Cocolat kiosk in Harris Scafe Building food court has disappeared. Looks like Wendy's put them out of business very quickly. (lol jkjk)

The Myer Centre Daiso opened today. They had a Pikachu out front being all kawaii for the fans.

Good news. Those people who have never set foot into a Daiso store, don't confuse it with Cheap as Chips etc .... though it is a discount store the goods are much better quality and lotsa stuff is actually made in Japan rather than China.

Jo Mercer have obviously vacated their Adelaide Central Plaza store to make way for Pandora and have set up a pop-up store across from the Myer Centre in the recently refurbished Peregrine Corp building. Any word on where they might be setting up a permanent shopfront?

The two new retail spaces at the refurbished building at the corner of Topham Mall and Currie Street (43 Currie Street?) have been leased. Interesting to see who will go there!
