Edit: yes there are workers on site and they are working at the back of the site.

It's fair to say that it's been a slow start to the year in terms of development in Adelaide.
I was hoping to see progress on several projects such as Kodo, West Franklin, Flinders One and
the Uniting Communities building but nothing is happening. There's a fairly good vibe in the city at
the moment with all of the festivals and concerts taking place. Mind you, the festivals finish this weekend
and then we'll be back to the bankrupt sleepy hollow politically hopeless city which we live in.

Really hate this negative attitude towards SA. Comments like this are unwarranted and dent state pride. Ughhh

Take a while for some of these to take off if at all
The apartment market here is hardly up to the eastern states
Let's hope some do get off the ground
Someone close to one flinders told me it has a huge basement to be dugout first so a crane won't be up til late in the year

Your constant negativity is beyond tiresome.ghs wrote:It's fair to say that it's been a slow start to the year in terms of development in Adelaide.

My goodness, enough with the negativity ghs and did you completely bypass my last post regarding the workers on site at Kodo that I saw? I have had enough of your negatives posts.
Here I am thinking there's another update about Kodo but no, just another useless, negative comment.

ghs is a troll, and is clearly getting the desired response. Don't feed them.

I don't think he's a troll. My take on him is he's a lost Adelaidenow contributer/possible liberal staffer. Wants to have his say without paying the $3 a month or whatever it is they charge.
Moving back on topic, does anyone know what the sales % is for this development? I'd really like to see the blank wall take on some form of mural like that one in Bowden. Would be a great sight from Vic square.

Yeah, it's a bit draining reading ghs be negative about everything, but it's also a bit funny seeing everyone get triggered by him.
As others have said, we'll have to wait and see if this goes ahead straight away or if it's another demolish-the-buildings-and-then-do-nothing development that's been a bit popular lately. Workers on site is a good sign and I'm fairly sure some Kodo developer big wig and some Watpac big wig have both appeared in videos on Kodo's Facebook talking about how this has started construction, so they'll be losing face if this doesn't go ahead.

I guess you didn't see the video of Weatherill destroying Frydenburg.

Construction/Site works has definitely started. The building will be complete by December 2018, its in Watpacs contract.

As if you haven't been misled by these guys several times already!!Ben wrote:Construction/Site works has definitely started. The building will be complete by December 2018, its in Watpacs contract.
They even posted another terribly scripted video on their facebook page yesterday with the Watpac site manager. He says, "...with a 24 month build, Kodo will be complete and ready for people to move in by the end of next year". Am I missing something in the maths there???
If the speed of their attempt to demolish the existing building is anything to go by, there are further disappointments to play out on this one.
