Former Slow moes/wendys in the Rundle Place food court has construction signage for Bakmi Lim noodle project. Will be interesting to see if they can make a go of the spot; the Waymouth site does a decent trade (with good cause - it's tasty, although a bit pricey).
Coincidentally Bakmi Lim are looking for a restaurant manager..apparently because "Noodles are becoming more popular in the Adelaide region "...:secret:

Another Lucky 7 (on Grenfell St) has closed for unknown reasons.
The new Roll'D at City Cross is now being fitted into the former HJ after a wait of 8 months.
For starters, my avatar is the well-known Adelaide Aquatic Centre insignia from 1989.

Roll'D will open on 31 July in City Cross.
Here's hoping that they reduce their pricing compared to that at Burnside or they won't be around for long ($4.50 for a cold roll... yikes!)

And in further Rundle St news, Bing Boy has closed, and Lorna Jane will also soon be shutting up shop (not surprising though, given they have a store in the mall as well).
I walked past today and they were open. I don't think they open till 11am so maybe it was before that you walked past?

There is also another outlet opening on Pirie Street, opening in September this year.

$4.70 for just one cold roll?. They charge around $5.50 for two at Soonta.

It's been announced that all 'Amart Sports' nationwide will be converted to 'Rebel Sports'.

At the moment there is Rebel Sports in the Myer Centre and a Amart Sports in City Cross. Will be interesting to see what will happen to the two outlets, the City Cross store has quite a large footprint.

Also interesting that a group from Rebel were meeting with the RMP management a few weeks back. Might have just been a scoping exercise for them but perhaps they'll close both other stores and open a new one in RMP?

Not surprised by this really - they are under the same ownership and there isn't much of a difference between the two.

That would seem to connect the dots.

Would that then preclude the debut of a new major like H&M or Uniqlo at that location?

Not sure, I hope not. The new combined ground floor and level 1 retail space would be a bit huge for them wouldn't it?

Looks way too big for Rebel Sport. I feel like this multi-level tenancy has H&M written all over it (fingers crossed!), ideal exposure for them. Perhaps Rebel is looking at the revamped lower ground floor, as mentioned a couple of pages ago. Or maybe they will now take over City Cross? and leave the Myer Centre.

With Amart Sports being ditched, this now leaves a big question on their City Cross store. It covers quite a large floor space though has limited access to Rundle Mall... Zara was years ago rumoured to be taking over this space. Another question is the future of the complex, with the entire site placed on the market last year and promoted as a major development opportunity. Since then there has been a number of food tenancies that have closed up and the centre is now looking a little tired compared to Rundle Place, ACP and even the Myer Centre since it's revamp.

It should be mentioned that Amart Sports will be converted Rebel Sports by November this year.

If Amart/Rebel decide to close one of their sites (which you'd assume is almost certain as you'll have two Rebel's opposite each other come November), perhaps Uni Qlo might take up the surplus location Rebel opt not to use.

I doubt Uniqlo would want either space. They'd be demanding significant frontage.

Zara were never penned for this particular space in the building, if there were ever to move in the entire second floor was going to be reconfigured for their use (including the Harvey Norman floorspace.
