Maxcon Constructions Wins Bid To Build Adelaide’s Tallest Tower

Parallel Property, a private Sydney-based developer, has announced that Maxcon Constructions will build Adelaide’s tallest building, “Realm Adelaide”.

Maxcon was the successful bidder for the job and will start work next month on the $200 million, 40-storey residential tower with work expected to finish by early 2020.

Maxcon were the stand out winner of four builders who competed in the tender process, M Projects Director Marcello Tuteri said.

Maxcon Director Anthony Elzain said the company was excited to be part of such a major project.

“This building will set the standard for residential living in the city. We are thrilled to be part of it and proud to be responsible for the construction of the state’s tallest tower,” Elzain said.

The Renaissance Arcade is also set to undergo a make-over in the midst of Realm’s construction, and the Realm Developers are also in discussions with Adelaide City Council to consider further upgrades to Austin Street.

Maxcon’s last completed local project is the current tallest Adelaide residential tower Vue on King William. Standing 89 meters tall, this will be 43 meters shorter than Realm Adelaide’s planned height. They are also building the Bohem Apartments, a 22-level commercial residential tower on Wright Street, Adelaide which is due for completion late 2017.

Realm Adelaide has sold 70% of apartments to date.

Why are they referring to this as the tallest tower? The Adelaidian is the tallest.

Let's hope Maxcon can deliver on the "never seen before in Adelaide" level of luxury that their marketing rhetoric has been banging on about. (Is there a project on the market in Adelaide at the moment that is not going to redefine luxury!?!?)
From what I've heard from people that bought at Vue, the finish was a long way from that. I guess they can only work with what the developer gives them so hopefully they can also make a 56sqm 2br apartment seem like something that humans can inhabit!

That's very cool and there's also one for Adelaidean. However the view heights are at the tops of the buildings, not the top floor so they're a bit higher than the highest views you'd actually get.

Not an accurate view because by the time is built likely to have 11 Frome and a few others very near it blocking some of that view

Since it is a 3D model, we have full control on the view location and height. I've just done that quickly but I could render every level. If I get access to the map with all the future developments, I can integrate them into the 3D model and the 360 view will be more accurate.
As a marketing tool, some clients don't want to show what the one to two year view will be...
