Another Video!

For starters, my avatar is the well-known Adelaide Aquatic Centre insignia from 1989.

Typical Adelaide whine. completely false premise, but full of feelpinion designed to generate support for maintaining the status quo.Best countered with facts such as Nathan has done above.
Big infrastructure investments are usually under-valued and & over-criticized while in the planning stage. It's much easier to envision the here and now costs and inconveniences, and far more difficult to imagine fully the eventual benefits.

It does beg the question, what's happening with the Christmas pageant this year during the tram extension works? They've factored in the TDU but not the Christmas pageant that brings 300,000 plus people to the CBD.

Tram works
Stage 2 (North Tce) 1 - 16 October
Stage 3 (King William - Festival Centre) 22 October - 6 November
Stage 4 (North Tce/ King William intersection) 3 - 15 January

Christmas Pageant: 18 November

How is the pageant affected?

Doesn't this video show the full intersection? Meaning we will be able to go the east end via KWS

The pageant will be affected (although not because of the wires). The space available for the pageant to go down will decrease from 9m down to 6m, and concrete fencing will be in place down the centre of North Tce during construction (the only cross over point will be where the car park access is, past David Jones) — both of which are causing issues.

But construction in North Terrace finishes on 16th October. How would that affect the Pageant?

Active construction finishes, but the road width reduction is permanent and the concrete fencing will remain in place until the completion of the project.

Lol, I love that there's not a single person riding a bike in their animation. Probably a pretty accurate depiction of the street given they cant be fucked putting a green strip of paint along the edge of it.
