Another update from today. I think the glass looks a bit nicer when it's viewed from in the shadows than when you see it in the sun.



Also good is that we're getting closer to the old house being restored to its former glory (seems like they're focusing on completing the tower first, at least externally), which along with the tower will make this entrance into the city a lot more impressive than before.

The building of ‘Davaar’ was built in 1876 for prominent Adelaide wine and spirit merchant Mr William Johnston, who had migrated from Scotland to South Australia.
This is a quick urban explore before the Davaar Building is refurbished and incorporated into the August Towers complex.

Here's one I took from the passenger's seat today. Southern wall of the tower is nearing completion externally, and it looks like they've started doing some noticeable work on the top of the old house.

I like it. Sleek and simple. Nice building at a prominent city vantage point.

Up date 24 Oct 2017. The space between the service core and the edge of the building on the northern side has been filled with A/c equipment . These areas are now clad with a louvered panels to allow the air to flow through . However one can see all the air conditioning equipment through grills.

Fair to say this looks nothing like the render in terms of quality or elegance. At least it is "different".
