It wasn't quite at the same scale, but the rail bridge over South Road comes to mind.

I thought that was done section by section?
This bridge down south, unless I'm mistaken is being moved in it's entirety
[U/C] Re: News & Discussion: South Road / North-South Corridor
Yes, it was done in sections, but they were also completed and assembled on site before being hauled into their final positions.rev wrote:I thought that was done section by section?

The new Darlington bridge is being moved in a way that has never been done before in SA, and I would bet, not too often elsewhere in the country.
There is no room for error in this one, unlike the Outer Harbor rail bridge.

With regard to project schedule, is there separate internal timeframes for individual project elements that allows for some contingency in relation to the scheduled completion date of the project?

A pollie promo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-fxZ3uu77I which is intersting for showing the earthworks at the Torrens Rd intersection and verbal confirmation of a completion date of mid 2018.

Does anyone know what an inclinometer does in the context of an infrastructure project?

I Googled its use in road building as an example and one major use seems to be its measuring of movement in the ground by measuring pore pressure.

There is a large open space surrounded by the walled fence opposite the current exit of the SE on south road. It is currently housing construction workers units.
Anyone know what this space will be in future? a park perhaps?

*Looks at Dyson Airblade Factory* "I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit, it's the only way to be sure"

Have been speaking to some of the officials down here.

Will Transit Link routes bypass the Bedford Park Bus Station because it doesn't look like there is any location south of the current stop to get onto to the Southern Expressway or will they have a stop in Flinders Medical Centre bus interchange or stop on the Flinders Drive extension.Norman wrote: ↑Sat Nov 25, 2017 12:37 pmA new video for Darlington has been released!

The Transit Link stop will probably move to integrate with the new Flinders Station, which will allow the buses to go back onto the expressway.Eurostar wrote: ↑Sat Nov 25, 2017 5:04 pmWill Transit Link routes bypass the Bedford Park Bus Station because it doesn't look like there is any location south of the current stop to get onto to the Southern Expressway or will they have a stop in Flinders Medical Centre bus interchange or stop on the Flinders Drive extension.Norman wrote: ↑Sat Nov 25, 2017 12:37 pmA new video for Darlington has been released!

Put this one into the 'maybe" pile, but the expressway may be renamed to Fleurieu Expressway on completion. This was shown in some renders on the site visit a week ago.
