Yeah that seems to answer that.Pikey wrote: ↑Thu Jan 11, 2018 3:42 pmLooking at the plans below, it's a stairwell for the podium section.
As the full height tower is located above the section currently being demolished and just over the car park access, full height structural piling would not have commenced. I'm assuming it will do once the site is clear.
As the stairwell is part of the podium proper, I feel this can be classified as U/C.

According to an advertising e-mail they just sent:
"The Eckersley Building has been almost entirely demolished, while construction has commenced on the northernmost part of the site - the old Rhino Room. This section of the site has been piled, and construction of the plant room started in December - see in the picture with the pre-cast panels."

I'm no expert but that fencing really doesn't look adequate for size of the demolition project.

It's a pedestrian fence, not a security fence or a debris fence.
One of the house building sites on my street has a fence like that across the front. I haven't quite worked out why, as neither adjoining property has side fences, and the temporary fence is at the property boundary, not building to building. The block in question also has no back fence, and a vacant block (no fences, not even temporary) providing easy access from the next street. I guess it serves to alert pedestrians that there is potentially unmarked excavations that they should not blindly follow a runaway dog without looking where they are going.

Not sure this was ever posted.

It's the "aeronautical imact assessment report" for the development. It's interesting to see one of these submissions in the flesh and what the process actually entails.

From what I can read, if they had proposed this to up the maximum PANSOPS it could have been 176m tall.
This gives a good indication of just how high future developments could be, as the PANSOPS ceiling would only increase due south of this site. We already know this with Dominator One proposed at 200m which seems about right given the site location.

Looks like they're making heavy work of removing the foundations, which seem to be exceptionally thick for the relative size/height of the pre-existing building.

Car park officially closing Friday so that it can be integrated into the bottom podium levels. New spaces likely to be reserved for residents.
