No it's more of a concern about their ability to arrive at a consensus view. Recent examples demonstrate that even when resolutions do get passed aggrieved councillors opposing the decisions then go to work fear mongering within the community to ensure the process is drawn out or that the scope of consultation is limited such that only a very narrow perspective gets captured.
As a decision making body they are completely dysfunctional - it's little wonder the administration tries to avoid them as much as possible lol.

I see a bland development here, apartments 4 to 6 stories, open space, townhouses facing Centenary Street, some ground level retail, an Aldi would work well here, basement parking covering the entire site.

Maybe the council can onsell the land to a developer to build something nice..
Just like they did with U2 on Waymouth.

The new bikeway under construction in Frome Rd is looking great. I think the council have finally got it right with footpath bikeway and a lane of parking/traffic flexibility. This could spread quickly now a good solution has been demonstrated.
Clearly, there has been a market failure with the le Cornu site development. The government has a role in such situations to protect the wider community and economy. The Council will be accountable to voters in the end and has to make something happen. This is a change in the path for this site, things will not be the same now a new owner with community responsibility is in place. It is not the time to look back in anger but to move forward.

Yes the fence is gone and it has been grassed and is now open to the public.
