Coming from the inside, I can tell you there's plenty of them queued in the taxi holding area. I was there once and one dude was wearing thongs.

Any news on the terminal expansion works? And new routes? Which international airline do we think will jet into Adelaide next ? Cheers

When there are updates, they will be posted here. Don't bump a thread unless you have something valuable to contribute.

A bit harsh Patrick for a discussion thread. Don't bite the newbies.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines
If you ever get a chance to head down to the airport and maybe have a beer or a coffee talk to the people that work there. There are a few there that are in the know. As for the next airline to come to Adelaide, well...they'll probably keep that close to their chests as it is something a state government would want to announce first. In the meantime we can only speculate.

Rex responds to Senate enquiry about their reliability by cutting services to Mt Gambier.

That response from Rex, if Indaily can be believed, is pretty immature.Brucetiki wrote: ↑Tue May 15, 2018 3:35 pmRex responds to Senate enquiry about their reliability by cutting services to Mt Gambier.

Is that degree of emotion in business safe?
To be constructive though, maybe the State Government should charter the Flying Doctor for patient transfer.

QantasLink were tossing up between Whyalla and Mount Gambier before they eventually went with the former. It must have been sketchy for a while but I wonder if demand is picking up now that the steelworks have been saved.
We can only hope they'll take another look at the Mount - a relatively large, wealthy and densely-populated region with demand for travel to both Adelaide and Melbourne.

Would Mt Gambier be capable of handling VARA's fleet (Fokker 100's and A320's)?alexczarn wrote: ↑Wed May 16, 2018 3:12 pmAny chatter of VA Regional looking at it?Splashmo wrote: ↑Tue May 15, 2018 7:51 pmQantasLink were tossing up between Whyalla and Mount Gambier before they eventually went with the former. The ATR 72's operated by mainline VA would be a good fit though, if they were interested in the route.

My bad, forgot the ATR's got moved to mainline.Brucetiki wrote: ↑Wed May 16, 2018 3:54 pmWould Mt Gambier be capable of handling VARA's fleet (Fokker 100's and A320's)?alexczarn wrote: ↑Wed May 16, 2018 3:12 pmAny chatter of VA Regional looking at it?Splashmo wrote: ↑Tue May 15, 2018 7:51 pmQantasLink were tossing up between Whyalla and Mount Gambier before they eventually went with the former. Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines
Rex's tantrum continues, axing 10 flights from the Mt Gambier service.
