You are fortunate, whatstheirname, that you can see much more from your vantage point than I can see from the street level. keep up the good work.

We sure are EGB, I would love to take photos from the other end of the office, but the windows are VERY dirty (first world problems right)

I really hope developments like this can inspire a higher quality of architecture in the next cycle of development. We have now established there is interest in Adelaide and have seen a lot of development come through but we need to aspire for higher quality.

I'm fairly certain Elenberg Fraser and this developer are working together on another CBD apartment project yet to be announced.

I think this is a massive issue and we see it time and time again. Once a development starts they submit an application to amend the facade detials - NO. Unless it is a safety issue once approved the external design should remain the same.

How do we know there hasn't been a change in material to the benefit of the tower? Granted, we've had some shockers before, but this is the first time Elenberg Fraser has designed a tower for Adelaide, and they are absolute sticklers for quality.
Let's not chuck the baby out with the bath water just yet.

Elenberg Fraser may be the designer but they are not the ones paying the bills.
I agree that we may be jumping to conclusions expecting that any changes will be a "dumbing down" of the original façade but that's just because in most cases that's exactly what changes like this turn out to be. Elenberg Fraser may be great at designing a monument to their own brand and reputation but it still needs to be economically feasible to deliver on and it is the developer that will ultimately make these calls as it is their balls on the line.
