The notice is worded in two parts - an amendment to the external screening over residential tower AND amendment and substitution of external screening over podium levels.

I'm no expert in these notices or how they are worded, but to me that suggests there will be changes to the screening on both the tower and the podium.

It's not alarmist when it's happening right at this very moment Pikey! I've kept an eye on it since 20-22 Currie Street and Bentham days and this could possibly be the worst thing that has happened on this forum. It's definitely appropriate to be alarmist!!! It's possible that it's going to be a large monolith towering over our beautiful city that will have absolutely nothing to do with 2001 Space Odyssey as nobody will be getting enlightened!!!
Panicking is an appropriate option!

In light of recent problems with Vue, I would suspect this is more of a preventative move to protect the residents rather then an overhaul of cosmetic appearance.

there could also be issues with flammable cladding. That review in Australia only completed earlier in the year. Could potentially be implicated here.
