[CAN] 207 Pulteney Street | 180m | 55 Levels | Mixed Use

That was just a mock up. You're better than this you should know that haha

I don’t dislike it at all. Given the right materials are used I think it would be a great addition to the skyline.
Having said that I am hoping for a more modern design, that would really signify the growth and change not only in our skyline but in our city. This design doesn’t inspire that. It looks like something that could have been built in downtown (insert North American city here) through the 90’s.

THE IMAGE IN THE ARTICLE IS FAKE - IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ACTUAL DESIGN!!!
Sorry to go full Trump on you, but discussion about the Advertiser mock-up is utterly pointless. You might as well pick any random building from google images and have a discussion about that.
The actual design looks absolutely nothing like the awful image that the Advertiser's work experience kid produced.

Great work Plasmatron! You've now been promoted to Urban Affairs Reporter for the Advertiser
[CAN] Re: 207 Pulteney Street | 195m | 60 Levels | Mixed Use
are there any existing buildings that look close to what it might look like? Is the Burj Al Arab closer? or perhaps Q1

They pluck a random building from LA and it isn't Nakatomi Plaza. It's like they're robots at News Ltd.Plasmatron wrote: ↑Fri Aug 03, 2018 1:12 pmI'm pretty sure it's 777 Tower in Los Angeles.

It has to say something about the Advertiser's employee demographic that for the mockup of a building to potentially be built 2019> they choose one that was made in the early 90s.

Says something about the average Advertiser reader that one guy in the talkback said Adelaide can't have tall buildings because of earthquakesSer Noit of Loit wrote: ↑Fri Aug 03, 2018 9:03 pmIt has to say something about the Advertiser's employee demographic that for the mockup of a building to potentially be built 2019> they choose one that was made in the early 90s.

The only thing you can blame the advertiser for, and other media, is giving the ignorant masses the time of day to share their stupidity with the rest of the world.Algernon wrote: ↑Sat Aug 04, 2018 4:13 amSays something about the average Advertiser reader that one guy in the talkback said Adelaide can't have tall buildings because of earthquakesSer Noit of Loit wrote: ↑Fri Aug 03, 2018 9:03 pmIt has to say something about the Advertiser's employee demographic that for the mockup of a building to potentially be built 2019> they choose one that was made in the early 90s.
