The last of the ex Madrid Citadis trams 209 has been out and about the last 2 days doing test runs to the Entertainment Center.

Must have sat there for the rest of the day. I saw it there at 1:30, and again just before 6pm.Uncle Monty wrote: ↑Wed Aug 08, 2018 9:11 pmI got a photo of tram 104 at the end of the North Tce extension today terminated at the ORAH (Botanic Gdns) stop at approx 12.30 pm
Re: News & Discussion: Trams
I think tram 104 has been travelling up and down North Tce on Monday, Tuesday and now Wednesday this week from ORAH to new RAH. I saw it on Monday & Tuesday

Re: News & Discussion: Trams
So much tram training/testing going on at lunchtime today - it looked like they were primarily focussing on scenarios where two trams arrived at the KWS/NT junction at the same time from different directions. It feels like the opening of the line is getting closer!
Re: News & Discussion: Trams
Thanks Llessur2002 - some great pics! I'm trying to remain optimistic like almost everybody else on here, but who in DPTI thought it would be remotely acceptable for the poles to lean in like they are, even just a bit - despite them being safe and all that. It's not good enough for our premier street and will need to be rectified at some point. Perhaps we should all start applying pressure - emails, tweets, etc. to the appropriate authorities?
Re: News & Discussion: Trams
Makes me feel proud seeing trams in our CBD - you could almost mistake Adelaide for a modern progressive city

Er, trams have been in the CBD since 2007. Longer even if you count the terminus of the Glenelg line being at Vic Square before that.

Re: News & Discussion: Trams
No offence mate but Adelaide will be a progressive city when it gets something like the MRT (Singapore) or MTR (Hong Kong). So let's look with some vision 20 or 30 years down the track and start planning now. And when I mean an underground, I mean no piddly city loop! As for trams...they may be nice but they're not the be all end all of PT.
Cheers

I hope they'll have them open by the time the RAS starts!

Re: News & Discussion: Trams
Sent to me tonight.
Dear Stakeholder
Thank you for your continued patience and ongoing interest in the City Tram Extension Project.
Driver training has recommenced, with the department continuing to monitor track and system performance closely.
Works scheduled over the weekend include:
Paving works along the footpath on southern side of North Terrace (access to businesses maintained) and minor labelling works on platforms between 7am and 1pm Saturday
General re-instatement works will continue from 7:30pm Sunday night
Some speed and lane restrictions will apply in the vicinity of the works. Lanes adjacent tram stops will be closed while works are undertaken, with one lane maintained in each direction.
A date for passenger services is still to be confirmed, a further update will be provided next week.
For more information on the City Tram Extension Project please visit www.citytramextension.sa.gov.au, call the enquiry line on 1300 030 919 or email [email protected].
Regards
