No but that is the basement and a lot of “stuff” still has to go in there yet. Hot water system for bottom half of building, lift machinery and never saw them concrete the floor yet prior to ground floor being done. Anyone else have thoughts?SBD wrote: ↑Mon Aug 20, 2018 6:47 pmDo you know what the dirt floor behind the facade has been left for?

Yeah I too thought that was strange that they went ahead with the ground floor before completely concreting the basement.

Just by the Realm this morning and stuff happening. Plus a couple of shots from the South side, walked down a narrow gap between fence and buildings.
South side in narrow gap. Steps clearer here and notice the wall on the left side going up. It appears I can't add any more, so I'll post again in a minute.
at the end of Porters lane, you can clearly see the Post Tensioned Floor baskets on the right.South side in narrow gap. Steps clearer here and notice the wall on the left side going up. It appears I can't add any more, so I'll post again in a minute.

These shots were taken from Austin Street. This wall they have up is hollow and they were pushing 4 x long steel rods through the slots near the bottom that went the whole width of the panel. Does anyone know if this will be filled with concrete?

Pretty busy down there, looks to be some form of wall going up on the right side?

It does look like a wall guys, great photos from both of you. Looks like they're finally getting the basement floor concreted.

In the above photo by whatstheirname near the south end of the new wall is more of the same material in bundles. I saw it when I was there today. Does anyone know what this stuff is as it is hollow and from what I can see could only be filled with concrete from the sides so if it was to be filled with concrete it would have to be pumped in horizontally.

Were they pushing solid steel rods through the wall vents or wire cables. In one picture it looks more like a wire cable the way it bends. In this case they would fill it with grout not actual concrete. gout is like concrete without the gravel . This would flow easier especially if they add a plasticiser. This would then be some form of Post Tensioning to pull series of wall panels together.

I didn’t see any cable being fed through but I did watch them put 4 x steel rods through in each of slots 3 and 4 from the bottom. I then left so cable could have been done later.EBG wrote: ↑Thu Aug 23, 2018 11:04 pmWere they pushing solid steel rods through the wall vents or wire cables. Actually looking at the photos you can see the pile they were taking them from and you are correct they were probably very stiff cable.

If you google AFS logicwall you should find the information regarding the walls to the Western side of the building.
In my experience these are a pain in the arse and are essentially cfc sheeting each side and are known to blow out during the pouring of concrete.

The core can now be seen slightly from the Pulteney Street and North Terrace corner.

Interesting to see they went with formed rather than precast walls for the perimeter. I'm sure once the neighbouring building is passed and the podium complete, they'll move to a jumpform system.rad wrote: ↑Tue Aug 28, 2018 10:06 amIf you google AFS logicwall you should find the information regarding the walls to the Western side of the building.

Pretty sure there hasn't been any movement.
I will snap a shot later in the day, the sunlight / shadows aren't helping photos at the moment
