[COM] Re: Oaklands Crossing
Currently there are 5 lanes of traffic being forced into just one lane on the southbound side.

Yet no press release from Labor that they would have had it done slower to keep three lanes open.OlympusAnt wrote: ↑Mon Jul 09, 2018 3:27 pmCurrently there are 5 lanes of traffic being forced into just one lane on the southbound side.

[COM] Re: Oaklands Crossing
Does anyone else think it's silly that they are removing the level crossing but adding traffic lights because of new turning lanes and pedestrian crossings?
I feel like in a few years time these lights will cause just as much of a head-ache as the level crossing did (because of population increase).
What about adding u-turns lanes (like in Melbourne) instead of turning lanes and pedestrian bridges/underpasses (like in most other cities I've been too).
Just my thoughts.

It'll still work fine if they sequence the green signals simultaneously like they do at a number of other intersections with multiple traffic lights over a short distance. DPTI would be stupid not to do this.potsandpans wrote: ↑Wed Jul 18, 2018 8:05 pmDoes anyone else think it's silly that they are removing the level crossing but adding traffic lights because of new turning lanes and pedestrian crossings?
