There does not seem to be any concern about the column on the north east side at the podium level. ( the brace in the picture is part of the support of the crane tower).

Have to admit I'm a bit jealous of anyone thats going to live in levels 20-30 facing north, would be a very spectacular view. I'd prefer that over a beach or hills view any day

I'd buy a beach front view anyday. With the way Adelaide is going, give it a few short years and that view may be obstructed.

Construction of Adelaide’s tallest residential tower has reached its highest point, marked with a traditional topping-out ceremony on the building’s 30th floor.
Towering 103 metres over Victoria Square on Angas St, the $100 million Kodo project will overtake the Vue project on King William St as the city’s tallest apartment building when it is completed in March.
However, it is likely to hold that mantle for less than a year, with the taller Realm and Adelaidean projects in the city’s east end due for completion in late 2019 and early 2020.
Kodo developer Flagship Property Holdings, backed by prominent businessman Kerry Stokes, expects residents to move into the new building by Easter, with 186 of the 202 apartments sold off the plan.
“The Adelaide CBD is really coming of age as more people choose an urban lifestyle, which in turn is resulting in more shops, bars and restaurants, and an ever-growing vibrancy that continues to make Adelaide one of the most liveable cities in the world,” Flagship chief executive Mark Jarman said.
Timelines at Kodo were pushed back earlier this year after workers discovered cracks in two concrete columns.
Mr Jarman said an investigation, which cleared the project of any structural issues, caused a six-week delay, but that builder Watpac had managed to make up some of the lost time.
“We needed to do a thorough investigation in order to understand what it was and to work through an appropriate solution,” he said.
“We kept our purchasers fully informed. There was no concern — people just wanted to understand the process we were going through.”
Flagship has two other apartment projects in its Adelaide pipeline including at the site of the Royal Hotel in Kent Town and Penny Place — a 23-storey, 152-apartment building adjacent to Kodo and due to hit the market in the new year.
Despite the number of projects in the pipeline, Mr Jarman is not fazed by concerns around oversupply.
“I think it’s lies, damned lies and statistics probably to a certain extent,” he said.
“I question whether or not the projects that are mooted, whether all of those will come online.
“But I still want a competitive and vibrant market in Adelaide because that can only be good for the underlying growth of the city.”

The Kodo apartments project on Angas St is due for completion in March.
As part of Tuesday morning’s topping out ceremony, a large pine tree was raised from the ground to the top floor of the building by a 125 metre crane.
Planning Minister Stephan Knoll, who attended the ceremony, said Kodo was “a mark of confidence in the South Australian residential market”.

That’s great that they seem invested in the city. Time will tell as to how they handle the western wall but what is an eyesore cure early, could become quite the feature if given some thought. Here’s hoping.

At the very least they should commission an artist to do something like they have done at Bowden or an artist that has done one of the many Silos in regional Australia.
Or as the developer is Flagship (part owner Kerry Stokes - Chairman of Channel 7) we could suggest they do a massive LED screen like Times Square. They could sell advertising on it and with the revenue earnt reduce all the owners outgoings/strata fees to maybe nothing... a win/win.

Adelaide welcomes tallest residential building as Kodo tops out
13 November 2018
Construction on what will become Adelaide’s tallest residential building has reached a major milestone, with the Kodo apartment development on Angas Street in the city reaching the topping out stage today.
South Australian Minister for Planning Stephan Knoll MP was among guests to gather on the top floor of the 30-storey building – which rises 103m – for a topping out ceremony to celebrate the installation of the highest point of the $100 million development.
The milestone follows the completion of the final concrete floor pour by builder Watpac and was marked by a large pine tree being raised from the ground to the top floor of the building by a 125m crane.
Construction of Kodo, which includes 202 apartments that are almost fully sold, commenced in April last year and is on track to be completed early next year.
Developed by Flagship Property Holdings, Kodo was designed by world-class architect Woods Bagot and to date has included:
259,642 labour hours;
41,460 square metres of formwork;
700 tonnes of structural steel;
785 tonnes of steel reinforcement;
8,500 cubic metres of concrete (approximately 1,480 truckloads);
566 precast panels and 182 columns; and
13,000 metres of stressing cable.
Mark Jarman, CEO of Flagship, says topping out at Kodo is an exciting milestone.
“Building a development of this size and scale is no mean feat, so to reach the topping out stage is a fantastic achievement,” said Mr Jarman.
“It’s not only a wonderful milestone for Flagship, but also for the many local contractors who have been working tirelessly on the project, as well as buyers who can see their future home taking shape.

Located at 29 Angas Street near Victoria Square, Kodo includes a four-level podium from ground level, which will incorporate car parking, bicycle parks and residential apartments.
On the top floor of the podium, an exclusive resident ‘sky garden’ will be established, with landscaped entertaining and recreation areas, as well as surrounding apartments with mezzanine floors and generous private terraces.
Additional one, two and three-bedroom apartments will then rise up another 26 levels, offering sweeping views towards the Adelaide Hills and coastline. There will also be ground floor retail and commercial tenancies.
