It is much taller than the adjacent building though, so it surely would be visible?

I still don't understand one thing - are the "reflective glass panels" windows?

Ah scratch that question - page 16 shows the "full height glazing" in the floor plan. That should look quite goodshiftaling wrote: ↑Tue Dec 18, 2018 9:50 amI still don't understand one thing - are the "reflective glass panels" windows?

Yes the floor to ceiling windows make this a winning design whether they change the cladding on the facades or not.shiftaling wrote: ↑Tue Dec 18, 2018 9:52 amAh scratch that question - page 16 shows the "full height glazing" in the floor plan. Considering how narrow the windows are, and the ratio of glass (window) to concrete panel, I am not so sure myselfHo Really wrote: ↑Tue Dec 18, 2018 5:00 pmYes the floor to ceiling windows make this a winning design whether they change the cladding on the facades or not.shiftaling wrote: ↑Tue Dec 18, 2018 9:52 amAh scratch that question - page 16 shows the "full height glazing" in the floor plan. I think that's probably a valid couple of cents - though to my (non-expert) mind the fact that it breaks it up should make it look pretty good from the outside. Not a fan of the south facing wall though.obituary resider wrote: ↑Tue Dec 18, 2018 9:13 pmConsidering how narrow the windows are, and the ratio of glass (window) to concrete panel, I am not so sure myselfHo Really wrote: ↑Tue Dec 18, 2018 5:00 pmYes the floor to ceiling windows make this a winning design whether they change the cladding on the facades or not.shiftaling wrote: ↑Tue Dec 18, 2018 9:52 am

I personally would not want to live in there. It's not the size of the room, I quite like cozy spaces! But the lack of privacy would be horrifying.

Looks like there's new renders on the Hines site: http://www.hinesproperty.com.au/cached/ ... 0_s_c1.jpg plus more at http://www.hinesproperty.com.au/project ... reet-tower. Personally I quite like it.

I love it. It will look great looking either the South or North.

There's quite a significant change in appearance! I think the external articulation is much improved and the boxes do seem a little more harmonious with the overall design now. But they also look smaller, so I wonder if there's been a further cut to communal space internally.

Yeah really like this now. Of course gladding quality will really make this unique, but it’s promising.

I prefer the original render, which had a strong vertical linearity. This version looks unnecessarily busy.

They were already slammed in that government report for the lack of privacy and inadequacy of the communal spaces - surely they couldn't be any smaller
[APP] Re: 29 Twin Street | 124m | 38lvls | Student accom
There appears to be more glass and less concrete, which I think is a good thing. I also like the articulated design, if it ends up being similar to the above render, it would be quite complimentary to Realm.
