I’m guessing “gaming” doesn’t mean Casino tables or games?

What else would it mean?
Gaming in relation to a casino refers to poker machines and other electronic machines and table games.
The more important thing is will they do a proper upgrade and renovation of the existing building once this is complete, or will we have a crappy run down old casino with a flashy new hotel and entertainment options attached to it.

I remember reading somewhere that a big renovation of the existing space is indeed going to happen as well.

Oh well hopefully it does.
They need to open it up inside and make it feel like a larger space. Like a big open-plan venue. Right now it feels compartmentalized which makes it feel like a really tiny venue overall.

Agree, the current casino is a dump. It is actually embarrassing, and not befitting a capital city. In most other areas, Adelaide is seen as cultured, and a bit boutique. This is just a glorified pokies pub in a grand building. I'm surprised the operators have not gone to more lengths to explain what is proposed with the existing space.

I think the upstairs area of the old casino really lets it down most of all. With regards to the lower level, i've taken a few friends from interstate over the years and they all comment on the architecture of the building, in particular the ornate ceilings.

Agree that in its existing form, it's terrible.
I also recall something about 'we're going to give that space a clean out; it's only been used as storage' - potentially one of the concourse-level tenancies at Adelaide Railway Station?

I thought one of the previously unused levels/areas was going to be the new sports bar? Might be wrong.
