Re: News & Discussion: Low/Mid-Rise CBD Development
The GBA of these appartments is absolutely huge. Over 300 square meters I believe.

Just a boring box with concrete wall sitting behind a house. 9 levels - one apartment per floor job (2 levels of parking).gnrc_louis wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2019 7:00 pmhttps://www.adelaidenow.com.au/subscrib ... de=premium

Much more interesting was when I saw the render supplied by a mob called Treehouse 3D, I came across this:

I assume it's a Never Built Adelaide, but anyone got any info about it?

That was a mock-up used for the city cross sale. Pretty sure it was only a concept.Algernon wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2019 7:10 pmJust a boring box with concrete wall sitting behind a house. 9 levels - one apartment per floor job (2 levels of parking).gnrc_louis wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2019 7:00 pmhttps://www.adelaidenow.com.au/subscrib ... de=premium

Tapley St off Gilbert St - update 25/5/2019. This project is nearly complete. All scaffolding has been removed, the north side has been painted 'Monument' (dark Grey) & the ground floor is being fitted out. Compare with previous pictures on 2/3/2019. click on pictures for bigger.

Look, I welcome the construction and eventual influx of residents, but I hope for a departure from the grey-and-white precast in future developments. Between this and the Forme Projects apartments around Hurtle, it's starting to get a little like cookie-cutter flats the south of the square mile.

Fromeprojex boss did a lecture at my uni recently. His reason for his somewhat basic designs were ‘they won’t age or become dated’
Re: News & Discussion: Low/Mid-Rise CBD Development
Hilarious because that is exactly the sort of design that ages and dates really quickly. It's not a timeless product.
