To confirm your worst fears, that's been gone for a while.

Most probably collected by louts, but also possibly loading vehicles -- several of the granite slabs along Bank Street have been seriously chipped, which indicates either tight manoeuvres or shit drivers.

It happens, just need to replace it and better protect it whilst it grows. Same thing happened a lot with drunken revellers after the Rundle Mall upgrade, now the trees there can support themselves without that issue.

I have emailed the city council about the tree and if they are replacing it soon. I will let everyone know if I get a response.

Seems obvious now... will be interesting to see how this looks when it’s complete and different panels are reflecting all different sources of light

There is a real sense of scale now. Currently up to floor 6.







The glass is highly reflective. Here, you can see the windows of the InterContinental in the reflection. It's a great effect.
