On the Eastern side theres a facade panel that is highly reflective... Just under the floor jump system. Makes me wonder if the facade currently has a protective coating?

I'm hearing what you're saying but highly unlikely. Interested to know if any such concept (protective coating to be peeled off) has happened on a high rise/skyscraper in the past? I recall asking the same thing with Vue, when comparing the building rising in front of our eyes compared to the renders. I was left disappointed of course.

I was in Adelaide this past couple of days and had the chance to see this in person, as someone who has been highly critical of the final product, photos don't do it justice, it does look better in person. That said, the closer you get to the building, the more the glass disappoints. But from afar it looks quite good.

Driving down lower north east road and the angle makes it look on par in terms of height with westpac house. It also looks like it’s apart of the central pyramid “clump” dude to the angle.

Not that there was much doubt, but the "maybe the beautiful dark reflective glass is covered with protective backing" theory can be safely put to rest by the clearness of those windows on the westerly side of the south facing podium, where we can see the light from other windows behind shining through.
