Me too. Regardless, it is making a HUGE impact on the area.

Great photo, where was that taken from?

I love the bronze reflections in the glass and some of it is visible through the gold facade panels which makes interesting contrasts and then the dark gray glass on the other half that is angled slightly differently.

The concrete pump was up above the climber box on the way home tonight, albeit abandoned due to the weather, so another core rise must be imminent

comparing today to a photo from the 5th and there has definitely been a core rise.

Real dumb question, but what would be the Government’s course of action if they hypothetically just continued building this higher and beyond what they have permission to build?

It’s not like the Government would dismantle it or anything. Outside of potentially removing the licenses of the contractors, what else would happen?

I guess it was taken from Dwell. Would be nice to see the same image taken in the morning when the light is behind the camera. Thanks for the pic CMB01.

Cheers

Phantom, if the building isn’t built to the approved plans (and if picked up) it may stop it getting certified and occupied (ie no certificate of completion/occupation given). Potentially it could mean the buyers don’t/can’t settle and it could send the developer broke. Trying to get insurance for the building/the Community Corp./the owners, may be another issue. Even if it wasn’t picked up (or anything done initially) it could be picked up later and be akin to an Opal Tower where the owners/residents were forced to move out and their property values were significantly negatively affected.
I also doubt a major commercial builder would ever build something illegally ie significantly outside of the approved plans. Obviously they could be financially penalised, lose their jobs, builders license, possibly jail etc.

Don't worry, it corrects its self once you click the image to view it.
