And all rightly so. if they just kept building it higher I wouldn't step foot within a block of the thing since it could come crashing down at any moment without everything having been properly planned.how good is he wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2019 9:46 pmPhantom, if the building isn’t built to the approved plans (and if picked up) it may stop it getting certified and occupied (ie no certificate of completion/occupation given). Potentially it could mean the buyers don’t/can’t settle and it could send the developer broke. Trying to get insurance for the building/the Community Corp./the owners, may be another issue. Even if it wasn’t picked up (or anything done initially) it could be picked up later and be akin to an Opal Tower where the owners/residents were forced to move out and their property values were significantly negatively affected.
I also doubt a major commercial builder would ever build something illegally ie significantly outside of the approved plans. Obviously they could be financially penalised, lose their jobs, builders license, possibly jail etc.

I know this is perhaps the millionth photo of this building posted, but thought it would be good to give a different perspective and scale. Taken from North terrace just before the university tram stop.

Some stretched imagination on a Friday evening and a few very dodgy photoshop skills later… I contemplate a time when our talls are being constructed an order of magnitude taller
In the meantime thanks for all the great pics Levesque and others, loving the design of this one

Hi all,
I have been experimenting with the link supplied a few weeks ago by SeeWhy at viewtopic.php?f=7&t=156&start=1035#p182369
I can say the site is not very reliable and often locks up. However yesterday I kicked of a program to grab an image every 15 minutes and again the site locked up. However during the period between about 13:33 and 14:48 yesterday I did manage to capture a core rise. I have cheap and nasterly created a timelapse of the images. It is about 12MB in size with a mp4 extension so I can't load it up to this site. I have copied it to Google Drive and below is the link so you can hopefully view it. If not I'm sorry I messed up somewhere.

PS let me know if it isn't working and I'll try and fix it.
PPS thank you Norman - I have created utube thing and uploaded it and amended link.

Re my message a few moments ago, is there a way of uploading this image somewhere as the image will never be saved when this site is archived and the link will ultimately be lost. Obviously I won't remove the file anytime soon but it may go eventually.

Photo taken today. Still looks great in this weather.

I think there's been another core rise, from what I can see from my office.
[COM] Re: Renaissance Arcade | 132m | 40 Levels | Realm Apartments
Yes, happened Saturday afternoon.
Also today the concrete pump boom arm up the top is very active, they are pouring the next floor and my best count/guess is it is the 27th floor.

great video Normh the link is still working Tuesday 4 .30 pm
[COM] Re: Renaissance Arcade | 132m | 40 Levels | Realm Apartments
It looks like another core rise has occurred today.... seems mighty quick.
[COM] Re: Renaissance Arcade | 132m | 40 Levels | Realm Apartments
Yeah I saw them only pouring the concrete for the core yesterday, well what I really saw was the big white boom thing moving around inside the slider and assumed that is what they were doing, I didn't go around to Porters Lane to see if there were any concrete trucks.
