I wish the panels see on the hotel part of the building carried through the last two-thirds of the building. Not as frequent but still an element. Helps break up the basic glass used.

I was really hoping that when viewed from my place this would look higher than westpac but it's looking more and more as if that wont be the case.
hopefully it wont take another 33 years for something taller to go up.

There should still be another two floors plus roof feature to come too. Should give a bit more height.

I got an email yesterday saying this had topped out. Well thats what the Email subject said but the body of the email just talked about what they have left in terms of apartments.

To me it looks like it has topped out.

According to the plans, it's not. The floor count is off.

I got the same email as Ben and thought it was weird.
I spoke to someone working on the project today and they said they understood it just had 1-2 levels of steel (roof framing) to go.
It looks too low - quite a few levels lower than Westpac - but why would they stop the core if it's going higher?

I think that might be it - according to the renders earlier in this thread there are fourteen floor levels above the 'open' floor (I think this is the break between the hotel and apartment sections yes?) - judging by the last photo posted there are 9 levels with glazing and a further 5 behind the formwork. I'm not sure if the fifth i.e. top level is a full floor, or whether that's a glass balcony screen or parapet as it seems to be only half the height of the other floors - either way it matches the renders.

I suspect in amongst that steelwork is a separate elevator made up from the steelwork. Remember, this isn't an expensive project considering it's size, probably works out to be cheaper building a secondary elevator with steelwork than to further increase the size of the core, especially if they have to reconfigure the core.CDJ wrote: ↑Fri Oct 11, 2019 3:00 pmI got the same email as Ben and thought it was weird.

After the calamity with the form work deck failure on Level 35 last week, the job has more or less been at a standstill, structurally. That said, Level 35 was actually poured today with another pour tomorrow (2 stage pour).
It definitely hasn't topped out yet - level 36 concrete slab steps back slightly on the Southern elevation (yet to be poured). There is also a small concrete slab on the roof housing the lift motor room. This project will not be topped out for a couple of weeks yet.

From that angel the colour almost looks like the renders.

From what I can see there's some prefabricated concrete panels added to the core now. Definitely getting taller.
