This is a week old (sorry, forgot to upload), but shows a different perspective from other photos and also shows the Festival Tower columns starting to come out of the ground!

Do the columns wed this site to the existing design or would it be possible for another design to be engineered to the same supports? I know it's extremely unlikely, but I do like to fantasise that by the time the carpark's done the tower will be redesigned into something more befitting the location. The current one is very unfortunate (from what I can gather anyway, given the plans have never been made publicly available).

The plans for the tower were made public years ago when it came before the DAC/SCAP.

I never saw the document. Does anyone have a copy? My understanding was that this was approved in cabinet.

I just started working on North Tce opposite the casino building.

I love the reflective glass. It gives the building so much more “life” than non-reflective glass. It looks different at different times of the day. A great addition to the area.

The GM of the hotel posted about a September opening (on schedule) on LinkedIn less than 2 weeks ago.

I remember they wouldn't build a new casino until they said they would build them a Carpark though
