Lots of routes will disappear. Other routes will be dramatically changed. Also quite a few through routing changes. Total new Route numbers for majority of routes.

The 44x, 45x and 46x routes sound fairly much as they are now. Doesn't seem to be a significant change in the coverage area for new developments.

I don't use them very often, and can't remember the exact routes. 442 (I think) currently covers Seaview Drive and Turner Drive between Midway Road and Blair Park Drive (Starting from Elizabeth). 441 covers Main Terrace and Springvale Drive north of Craigmore Road. I haven't looked at maps as it won't affect me much, but if they don't include new extensions, that is a contraction on the current service area, rather than extending further into new developments.

And it looks like with the proposed new simplified bus numbering system the practice of Adelaide buses changing their numbers as they enter the CBD will be abandoned in favour of one number for the entire route......from end to end.

And I have got to say....finally.

Hopefully the new numbering system will be consistent and simple.

The practice of one route, two numbers (along with inconsistent numbers and prefixes) makes the bus system overly complicated to use and also goes against best practice in the rest of the world.

I am not against losing all letters though, "N" and "X" can stay as they are universally used (in the western world) for night and express buses.

It looks like this will become one of the intermodal routes. At the moment the G20/G21/G22 run Aberfoyle Hub to Flinders then on to Goody Road into town, the 320 runs Aberfoyle to Flinders to Marion S/C. The proposed replacement routes from Aberfoyle all go via Flinders with one express bus to Flinders:

• 64 Aberfoyle Hub – Marion

• 64X Aberfoyle Hub – Flinders

• 65 Marion – Blackwood – Aberfoyle Hub

• 66 Marion – Aberfoyle Hub

In the next few months Flinders train station should be up and running. Presuming you live in Aberfoyle/Flagstaff, instead of taking one bus all the way into town you'll instead have a short bus trip to Flinders, train into town, then walk/tram down to Currie-Grenfell and hop on a TTP O-Bahn bus. You'll have an extra mode transfer each journey but on the plus side you'll now have an express bus option to Flinders and a faster journey into town on the train.

As someone who lives in the area I've been waiting for Flinders train station to open so that I can do precisely this.

Yes-19 will operate City via South Road to Marion Shopping Centre and Hallett Cove Beach Station,
20 will operate via South Road to Marion Shopping Centre-Hallett Cove and Old Reynella Interchange.

Reading that last post.....why not make the 19 a 8 minute daytime frequency and then make the 20 run from Marion to Old Reynella only.

15 minutes is an adequate frequency to Marion. Maybe the new 19 will still go via Flinders Uni and FMC?
