Much agree, this does give the West end a prominent look as you're driving into the city.

With Adelaidean and Realm towards East end the Sofitel gives it the balance in cityscape.

Sure has. Especially impressive when waiting at the lights on the corner of Morphett and Currie, as shown in the pic above. I often see other people in cars having a gander at it, they most probably don't have any particular interest in buildings but this one seems to get their attention.
