So we only have the roof left on top on this slab which is above the eight floors of balconied apartments. That should be the final height.

I've also heard that the final concrete deck is the roof, so theres no more superstructure to come

Was at the airport the other day, this one makes a huge impact and stands up prominently in the skyline.

When you're going Northbound on the Southern Expressway entering Darlington, I always look up and have a long glance at the skyline. This development is very prominent and at the right time of the day, the whole view sparkles quite brilliantly. Either its that or it's the glass in the air from rear ending somebody.

This has topped out.

and according to the Advertiser construction to be finishing in December (though the article also started out with declaring it the second tallest building behind Westpac house.... before realizing that they are a little bit late with that and changing it to the fourth tallest building....)

Why does the Advertiser declare every new hotel, "Adelaide's first 5 star hotel in 30 years!"

Its getting lame.

Yep, it's pretty annoying but depends on the description. It is probably the first 5 Star hotel "constructed" in Adelaide for the past 30 years. The Mayfair and Playford were fit-outs of already existing buildings. But fear not, I reckon Brisbane went a similar period without the the construction of a new 5 Star Hotel until quite recently.

Apparently Crowne Plaza Adelaide is 5-star too.

And also another technicality, the former Crowne Plaza (now the 5 Star Pullman), was originally built as a 4.5 star hotel. I'd say we've had plenty of new high-end hotels added to Adelaide in the last 10 years.

They live in a bubble where they don't realise how pathetic it sounds for a city of almost 1.5 million not to have built any 5 star hotels. Thankfully their assertion isn't actually true.
