Wow that Crowne Plaza pool looks like a nightmare! Aside from being small and cramped with this going up to the north it must get zero sun for 95% of the day.

It’s a shame the corners in white don’t follow the vertical curves of the building.

From today - a slightly closer look at the mid-section.

The glazing looks great, if only they kept it from top to bottom
[COM] Re: 269 North Terrace | 118m | 36 Levels | Student accommodation
Looking good and will block out Dwell and Adelaidean from lots of angles which I think is a good thing.

I would hope they're going to paint the orange coloured section white to make it have a cleaner finish. It doesn't really match ATM.

That orange is part of the design. Will be consistent with the entry levels. I actually like it - looking decent so far!

I don't hate the orange, largely because the finish of the cladding is good. But I agree with you, it would look better if it were white, or better yet, a highly reflective silver/mirror finish.

From the original renders, it looked like it may be more like a copper panel or some such. Whatever the material finish was going to be, it sure as shit the first thig on this design that would've been value managed.Patrick_27 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 09, 2020 12:03 amI don't hate the orange, largely because the finish of the cladding is good. Value managed or not, the finish is already infinitely better than what's next door. As this tower progresses, it's almost retrospectively value managing down Adelaidean.Algernon wrote: ↑Wed Dec 09, 2020 4:19 amFrom the original renders, it looked like it may be more like a copper panel or some such. I think the orange and the rest of the finishes so far are fine. I just with it was full glazing, without the concrete spandrels. Remember, there will be orange elements on the ground floor and roof from memory too.

I still think this is turning out really well. Thanks for the images Andy!

I'm happy to admit that this is turning out much nicer than I had expected. In fact, I quite like it!
