So I went and had another look on my lunch break, there is a black crane base on the Western side of the site, out of shot of the photo posted by matthawke. Sorry, no photographic evidence, but glad I haven’t gone mad!

Thought I was going mad too — but sure enough, it's there (have to crane my neck to see it from my vantage point!)...

Oddly enough the crane base is no longer there.

My understanding is there will be two (2) cranes.

One will be Multiplex's crane and the other will be local.

Crane is going up this morning.

Crane is 1/2 complete only needs jib as at 7.30 pm Saturday 3/2/2021. Picture from this morning (Saturday).Note this particular crane has slim tower sections, Please click on picture for bigger.

Agree - thanks for the photos.

There must be some interesting engineering calculations involved in building and operating a tower crane on a cantilevered base. I reckon the operator might check the bolts holding it down at the beginning and end of every shift!
