Interesting no one has mentioned a hammerhead crane was put up on Thursday 30 September. Don't have the time to go over there and take pics.
Cheers

Pretty imposing thing too, from many points along The Parade!

While I'm not 100% sure, I think there may eventually be 2 cranes on site.
2 towers, 2 cranes makes sense..

The crane is extremely prominent from Portrush Road especially if you’re standing out the front of Ford. I suspect the building will be quite visible from here too.

Certainly going to be prominent in the area.

I know this is a little bit off topic, but why do I see gum trees in the renders? Please don't tell me they're planning to plant these?
I absolutely do not understand why - after everything we now know - people still continue to blindly use any type of eucalyptus tree as a street trees. They get extremely big, are a fire hazard, rip up and destroy paving, and like to lose large branches and even topple over altogether. But even putting all that aside, they are one of, if not the least attractive tree for the urban environment. Don't get me wrong, in nature it's one thing, but not in urban areas!
These are so many superior options, from honey locust, cherry plums, celery pears, oaks, to your tried and tested London plane.

Lots of issues with plane trees. Much rather a native.slavic wrote: ↑Mon May 16, 2022 11:51 pmI know this is a little bit off topic, but why do I see gum trees in the renders? Please don't tell me they're planning to plant these?
