If this plan also includes a major overhaul of TTP, then I see no issue with paid parking.
Redevelopment is LONG overdue.
Both Woolies & Big W have changed with today's times.
But why Coles is still looking out of date? I assume it is likely to be enlarged in a future time.
For starters, my avatar is the well-known Adelaide Aquatic Centre insignia from 1989.
Liquorland has opened at Coles in Rundle Place as part of the supermarket's first refurbishment.
So I think the space where Mitchell's Adventure was is likely to become Liquorland too.
Here, I've documented the interior that's obviously stuck in the late 1990s.

Tea Tree Plaza's rent still leaves everything to be desired.
Here's a list of tenants that have vanished so far:
Kids Stuff
Subway
Cupcake Lady
The Coffee Club
It's now only a matter of time until Tea Tree Plus is no more.
It was a great idea back then but turned into a run-down controversy.
Throughout the years, it intruded on Tea Tree Plaza's retail focus and more importantly,
other circumstances like Gepps X and Costco have caused intrusion on Tea Tree Plus's focus too.

Agreed. When you have the Modbury Triangle, Tea Tree Plus and Tea Tree Plaza all attempting to serve the same purpose in a world where brick and mortar retail is competing with online. Something has to die. Tea Tree Plus is probably the one.
Is the carpet being ripped up? I will certainly miss it if that’s the case.
Looks like it.
Always found it odd they would carpet any part of the main mall, and then just have one random part of the mall carpeted. Can imagine it would be a nightmare to maintain.
Subway is gone.
Schnitz is gone, opening in its place is Nandos.
I have heard from a few different people rumour that Myer is leaving the ground floor.
One person said JB is moving into the ground floor, another person said Foodland is another said both JB and FoodLand are taking half the space each.

Good riddance to Schnitz, the food was terrible and overpriced.

I have heard a few people say it was overpriced. But I don't see how.
Schnitz, chips - $11.90
Where else can you get a schnizel and chips for $12?
Bavarian is around $30
The most expensive thing on the menu was around $16. You struggle to get a burger at the Pickled Duck for that price and then you still have to pay extra for chips.
As for quality, thats just because people aren't used to schnitzels that are crumbed and pan fried on site.
Everywhere else you go is deep fried crap. They were some of the best cooked and moist schnitzels you could get.

I'm so sorry, I confused Schnitz with The Bavarian. The Bavarian is the place I made my comments about.
I'm surprised Schnitz couldn't compete with the Bavarian.
$13 for a freshly cooked, pan fried schnitzel and chips v $30 for a stale schnitzel on it's own.
Was very disappointed to see Schnitz struggle through it's time at TTP (noting it was pretty much the only outlet that closed during the height of COVID). Having said that, looking forward to seeing Nando's come in.
Also noted that Two Peck chicken have closed. Their food was fairly good but they were very slow, and the fact the only drinks they sold were bubble tea's wouldn't have helped.
If Foodland move into TTP, hopefully it's not the same franchisee that runs the Modbury Triangle Foodland.
Just on Schnitz, I believe that was South Australia's only Schnitz store. In my opinion, the quality of schnitzels at our local pubs is far better than those at pubs interstate, so I'm not surprised to see franchises like Schnitz struggle here.
The Bavarian on the other hand has a lot of other options other than schnitzels.
