Newsagents should have been evolving their business model.

Jurlique are on the move… again. Previously in Rundle Mall Plaza facing out to the Mall, then moved to its current Peregrine Corp owned shopfront just down from BankSA/General Pants Co. now moving to Rundle Street, not sure where exactly, but I suspect in one of the vacant shopfronts between Frome Road and Vaughan Place.

Gawler Place's rent is still ridiculously abnormal. Here, Oroton just shut up shop last week.
For starters, my avatar is the well-known Adelaide Aquatic Centre insignia from 1989.

Disappointing for what is a glorified driveway to a carpark.

That carpark needs to be binned to allow for better land uses and therefore more foot traffic, and maybe it'll be more attractive.
Our state, our city, our future.

Given that the shops in that carpark are now empty I agree.

I've always wondered what the cost would be to reroute the exit down Stephens Lane to have that glorified carpark exit utilised differently

I suggest replacing that with a cinema megaplex. Rundle Mall has been without one since Academy Cinema closed its doors in 2007.

Why would any cinema want to set up in the CBD - especially when the last attempt (GU Film House) was a disaster

Agreed, don’t think a cinema would be a good use of the space. It’s a shame the office proposal on the other side seems to be totally idle.

Yeh, get rid of one of the main things that keeps people coming to the city on the weekends to shop. That makes sense.

This is the section of Gawler Place that comes off North Terrace right? If so that's the type of area that is actually perfect for allowing vehicle access.

The former GU Film House on Hindley St will be turned into bouldering gym and the forecourt will be getting a makeover. Opening mid to late 2023.

Good luck to them, and hopefully they make more of a success with the site than Greater Union did.

The problem with this site is that it's a dead end. Unless it has a connection to North Terrace or gets demolished and developed, the turnover of businesses will continue as long as it remains a dead end.

Agreed. A better connection to North Terrace is vital.
