Now can they just build it already, before the Nimby's start protesting with their anti-progress signs

Thanks for all your info and corrections over those 5-years. I just looked back through the first few pages on this development and you took some pretty heavy blows from cynical and/or disbelieving posters over that time. The flying pigs picture as but one example.
As great as this development is (and I like it), the service done by getting airport approval for something this tall and the impact that can have on other future development I think is the real crowning glory for this city.
I appreciate getting something this big to actual build stage is not a given (as is the case with any other development) but congratulations to you and all who have been working on this one.

Congrats CDJ.
It's always interesting being on the inside of an industry and then appreciating how much work and effort goes into making a development of this scale happen. From the developer acquiring and financing purchase of a property, to developing concepts and detailed plans, (which could include any number of stakeholders including other investing parties, architects, planners, quantity surveyors, engineers, lawyers, project managers, environmental specialists, local governments and government authorities, potential tenants and occupants, etc.), to then securing anchor tenants or pre-purchases, construction finance, engaging a contractor (who in turn engages sub-contractors for part of the work) and then proceeding to construction.
The average punter typically doesn't see anything other than the development being approved and then the physical construction happening.

If this goes up (nothing is ever guaranteed, but the length of time and work required to get to this point make me confident) it's going to be interesting to see the transformative effect it has on that side of the CBD.

Just a quick question. Now that this development has had all it’s approvals sorted for height etc does that mean that theoretically if another building the same height was proposed next to it for arguments sake, would the approvals process be much simpler as the precedent has already been set so to speak?
[CAN] Re: 207 Pulteney Street | 180m | 55 Levels | Mixed Use
I would say so. Application processes now have precedents they can rely on, which will also help the relevant authorities such as the airport. But each development will still require in-depth assessment to make sure it still complies with the relevant requirements and legislation.aceman wrote: ↑Sat Oct 08, 2022 10:53 amJust a quick question. Do you guys ever wonder...
Whats going on with the masonic lodge , Its been months since we've heard anything from MicBara or the press
I hope they're lobbying to make it taller, because something must have either gone down, or going on rn.
Maybe they're pushing for 200m

Not really, these things take time as evidenced on this forum. I’m sure there will be an update when there’s further news.VinyTapestry849 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 11, 2022 11:00 amDo you guys ever wonder...

This. The fact the Masonic Lodge had to vote on taking the idea meant we got wind of it earlier than we usually would.gnrc_louis wrote: ↑Tue Oct 11, 2022 11:40 amNot really, these things take time as evidenced on this forum.
