to be fair, most of the CBD is in that statePatrick_27 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2023 7:32 pmJust for context regarding office workers and the expectation they will feed into the nearby hospitality establishments… As I understand it, Lot 14 has roughly 2,500 workers/researchers/students in the precinct and yet, Rundle Street hospitality precinct hasn’t benefited at all from this, in fact, it’s increasingly in a state of disrepair. Amass of office workers doesn’t always result in the nearby hospitality offerings doing a roaring trade.

A quick photo from West Tce
It looks like the core is at maximum height at 29?
It looks to be a pretty chunky building.

Core box was removed today. Just 4 more floors pours to go. This is shooting up.

I don't know why, but it disturbs me how they look so vastly different based on the time of day/sunlight.Plasmatron wrote: ↑Thu Feb 09, 2023 12:50 pmTook a couple of quick progress shots on Tuesday. (7/2/2023).

A second skyscraper would look good if designed right
[COM] Re: Festival Plaza Incl. 115m Tower | $800 million
Absolutely not. A second skyscraper is not what we need at this location. The space should be reserved for the public domain, as part of Festival Plaza.

Well, walker is apparently already designing it. You'll have to take it up with him

It’s likely he would’ve always intended to build a second tower, doesn’t mean the government has to approve it.VinyTapestry849 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 12:40 pmWell, walker is apparently already designing it. You'll have to take it up with him

Aren't they going to put up a low to medium rise building there anyway, so if they are going to do that they may as well build a spectacular tally there instead, it's a prominent location to enhance our skyline, otherwise it's a wasted opportunity.

Do you find the current building going up to be spectacular?ynotsfables wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 2:58 pmAren't they going to put up a low to medium rise building there anyway, so if they are going to do that they may as well build a spectacular tally there instead, it's a prominent location to enhance our skyline, otherwise it's a wasted opportunity.

Spectacular may be something of an exaggeration, however it is infinitely better than looking at that absolutely hideously ugly, cheap arse Stamford Hotel abomination. A jarringly ugly monstrosity only rivalled by the grotesque Myer Centre.rev wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 3:10 pmDo you find the current building going up to be spectacular?ynotsfables wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 2:58 pmAren't they going to put up a low to medium rise building there anyway, so if they are going to do that they may as well build a spectacular tally there instead, it's a prominent location to enhance our skyline, otherwise it's a wasted opportunity.
So yeah, the visual from Lights Vision, personally I think a vast improvement

Great photo as usual Prodical!
Despite the bulky nature of the tower, the materials and quality of facade help create interest in what is a fundamentally simple design.
I'm interested to see how much of a roof level variation is shown when viewed from the Torrens. Some renders showed almost a floor or two difference, hopefully it ends up being the case seeing as the northern profile will be the most featured.
