And the new Oaklands Station is just partially excavated in the Google imagery.

From the Advertiser today:
From: https://www.adelaidenow.com.au/business ... cd9f8f9b81Multi-coloured sign display turned on for the first time at iconic RAA building

Chief marketing officer Michael Healy said the decision to ensure the RAA sign was powered by renewable, green energy was indicative of the organisation’s commitment to sustainability.
“The new RAA signs are dynamic - able to change colour to promote and raise awareness for important causes – and just as importantly, they’ll be powered by green energy,” Mr Healy said.
“As an organisation we’re making a concerted effort to reduce emissions and move towards a more sustainable, green future.
Mr Healy said the completion of the RAA Place signage represented another milestone as the organisation continues to grow
“We’re growing our offerings for members in exciting areas like travel, home, solar and energy and the electric vehicle sector,” Mr Healy said.

“This has helped our membership base eclipse 800,000 South Australians and our workforce continues to grow as well – which is now more than 1,200 strong.”
The signs have the ability to change colours, with the RAA set to capitalise on that feature for this week’s Showdown between the Power and the Crows.
The signs were built and installed by Ecept, an award-winning and proud South Australian business.

This feels like a massive wasted opportunity by the City of Adelaide to look more broadly at buildings around the centre of Adelaide that may be potential conversions to residential, not just the above ground level retail buildings. If all the vacant second levels above the retail shops along Rundle Street, Rundle Mall and Hindley Street got converted, there would only be maybe another 1,000 or so residences created. That's almost nothing in the context of the anticipated population growth.gnrc_louis wrote: ↑Wed Jul 26, 2023 1:08 pmGreat move: https://indaily.com.au/news/2023/07/26/ ... partments/

I noticed yesterday that some scaffolding has gone up around the former STA House on North Terrace - anyone know whats happening? Hopefully its not getting a tacky "new modern" facelift that involves grey cladding....

Agreed. The employment of a new position within council to entice these conversions does nothing for the empty office buildings in the CBD. I'm with Lomax-Smith on repurposing over replacing, however if they ever did tread the water of converting old office stock, I'd hope it would be more than a case of refitting the interior otherwise I'd rather see them start again with some of the buildings.AG wrote: ↑Thu Jul 27, 2023 9:53 amThis feels like a massive wasted opportunity by the City of Adelaide to look more broadly at buildings around the centre of Adelaide that may be potential conversions to residential, not just the above ground level retail buildings. Re: News & Discussion: General CBD Development
Are all 3 of the RAA signs supposed to change colours? I’m looking at the east and south signs and they are white only.
