It appears that Mrs Fields cafe by Coles has closed down, it wasn't open yesterday when I saw whether it was open for lunch.

JB HiFi has moved to the old Best & Less location.
Their old store has been gutted and is being expanded into the carpark. A major international brand will be opening in the space in early-mid 2024. It'll be their second Adelaide store.

Country Road is opening in the former Witchery site and taking up the Australia Post Site as well which was previously only accessible from the carpark.
Witchery have opened a smaller store next to the former JB Hi-Fi.
Myer refurbishment is 3/4 done. Completely re done from top to bottom for the first time since the 1970s.

I'd say it's Uniqlo... Considering how long Zara have been in Adelaide and how little they've done to expand their presence here, I'd say Uniqlo is more likely.Mpol02 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 14, 2023 5:37 amCould be Zara?SouthAussie94 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 13, 2023 9:34 amJB HiFi has moved to the old Best & Less location.

The massive redevelopment of Event Cinemas is now underway. Vmax cinemas currently being refitted along with a few others with the rest to follow. Gold Class and Candy Bar areas will also be completely gutted and rebuilt in the next year or two.

I remember when they opened the cinemas at Marion over twenty years ago now? 25 year nearly? Was one of the biggest cinemas in the world at one point. I think it held that title briefly. Nice to see it getting upgraded

I couldn't find anything on this, would be cool to see what exactly they are planning.mmosca447 wrote:The massive redevelopment of Event Cinemas is now underway. At sites like TTP and Marion it would be great to see them somehow revive the drive in theatre concept.
Could have a rooftop carpark, with barriers and scanners (or even ticketed as Westfield will eventually manage to get) during the day to prevent people just parking there in the morning and then staying for a free movie.

Didn't even know this was happening. Is there more info available somewhere?

They've been carrying out enabling works for the past few years. Strengthening columns and the like everytime a Mini-Major becomes empty. They're starting this in the former Bowland space soon.
This will enable the existing carpark structure to support the weight of the new build above.
