Thanks for the news re demolition.
I am kinda pleased as it shows some level of commitment - as long as the buildings are demolished and the site stays empty for years.
It is such a prime site so room for optimism

'cos it isn't like we don't have numerous such examples already around the Adelaide square mile region.

Unlikely that the development would be all office, given Australian Unity's approach to investing and that they have been busy elsewhere in the country turning former office buildings into residential use. It will most likely be a combination of residential (either aged care and/or serviced) with some office and retail at the lower levels. Height will likely still be around 100m high, I would suspect.

Where are the renders? If this is so close and they are demolishing are we almost at approvals? Have I missed something?

The link in the post before this one has more details, they aren't that far along yet.
I suspect demolition is more about ongoing security of the site.

I have not seen anyone on site for a decade - and yesterday there was someone cleaning out bags of rubbish from inside. Maybe something is going to happen soonish

Yes, but it's a land division, so nothing related to construction at this stage.

These signs were put up in the last day or so. The design is the same one as approved by the SCAP and looks like options to repurpose into more into health-related occupancy targets.

I wouldn't read too much into that, if anything it looks to me like they are fishing for responses to get a sense on how much and what demand there could be in the area to either influence future development plans, or set the value for a sale of the site.

puts it in direct competition with the Trinity City idea down the road.
