Not sure if this means anything...
But there were two Delta trucks in the parking area out front today - Delta do demolition so hopefully TBC.

Synergy have picked this up, walked past earlier today and Delta were inside undertaking demolishing works, this project is definitely live and underway.

Thanks
Great that an Adelaide based construction company has picked this up - and they move quickly

I have read conflicting information on this one. Are they keeping the facade of the current building or not?

does not seem to be retained from their photo.
Pity - it could have blended in well.

In this application No 22032905 by Hindmarsh, work is described as "Part demolition of existing building (canopy)". There is a separate application No. 22008384 by Doma c/o Future Urban for demolition of the entire building.AG wrote: ↑Sat Oct 01, 2022 12:12 pmProbably a reference to the front facade being kept as part of the new building.citywatcher wrote: ↑Fri Sep 30, 2022 11:12 pmWhy only a partial demolition?Ben wrote:SCAP

Maybe the existing facade will be incorporated as part of the first 2 levels? Hard to see in the available photos. This one seems to show the facade included.

Terrific work, looking forward to see the progress of the site!

There were lots of people on site yesterday - 20+ and installing barriers and with a bob cat inside. Will get a photo on the weekend but it is definitely underway

The rear 2/3 of the building is almost demolished - will try to get some photos on the weekend.

Walked past yesterday and the front of the building was all tarped/covered up. Still a little sad they couldnt find a way to integrate the existing facade in to the design.
Lets just hope this doesnt get demolished and left empty.

Can anyone share plans of the proposed development? I can't find them anywhere!
It looked as though they had been intending to save the front facade, even having people jackhammer the facade to a desired height. After a few days of inactivity (probably for engineer consultation) they are back and the whole facade is coming down. I guess it wasn't structurally viable?
