Synergy Construct just posted a construction overview and timelapse video of this development.

We do need more shoptop development, but I have to say this one looks cheap. The 'sky terrace' looks pretty dismal, and the shopping centre hasn't really improved on what was there before.

And the covered mall acts as a wind tunnel. The roof between the lingerie shop and The Parade lets in too much rain from the sides. The entrance/exit to Coke Street should have automatic doors with clear glass so pedestrians and drivers can see each other better.

It adds a bit of nighttime vitality that was previously missing, but agree otherwise.

The biggest improvement is to the carpark. The previous layout was easily one of the worst in Adelaide.

Sadly this development is vastly watered down from its original renders.

I absolutely do not want to defend the developers for this product.

But I do know that there were a lot of objections to this development to the point where the changes have significantly impacted profitability overall.

So to make money, we got this.

I like the extra people along the parade and the parking, just doesn't look like it should.
