How far off is this from actually happening?
7news said this yesterday: "Work on the even taller second plaza tower is expected to begin next year"

Don't know if there is a development application submitted for this one though. We haven't heard anything about even a submission let-alone an approval.
Can anyone here send the development application link if it exists?

I think we're still several design iterations away let alone the challenge with tenancy (unless the state gov is signing on).
Apparently Walker Corp is going to target the ATO. I also wouldn't rule out Govt agencies based at the State Admin Centre relocating there as well, given the proximity to Parliament House.

Would make sense, hopefully they can move whatever government departments are in Wakefield house and that other beige monstrosity next to it on Gawler place.
Does the government own those buildings or are they leased? Hopefully they can redevelop that area.

I like Wakefield House. Much better than the shite that's across from the HILTON, what is it the insurance company?

2 ground level renders have been released
Looks like almost invisible glass to make it look like the building is floating is this projects equivalent of vegetation in renders.

They do. It's just a shame they're all PWC consultants from interstate working on the uni merger.

Wasn't the supposed whole point of allowing them to build taller here so that the views of Parliament wouldn't be obstructed?
The mezzanine levels in that render block the view of the building behind just as much as the previous three-level version would have done.

I hope this goes ahead - decent ground level design and a pretty elegant shape of the tower.

Agreed, I think its a positive outcome for the area, both in design and getting more workers to the area, right next to public transport connnections and also to boost the vibrancy of the plaza.

the area has already been wrecked by tower 1 so I don't care about tower 2
hopefully it will put all those politicians in permanent shade
if it improves the Adelaide population's dress sense and physical fitness as shown in the renders then I'm all for it
