Lease would have reached it's end and Woolworths would have provided an offer that suited the landlord better. Seen it before. They fight each other as much as they fight to maintain their duopoly.

Does anybody know anything about the status of the Central Pier project on the corner of the Port River Expressway and Perkins Drive? Leedwell have marked the status of this one as 'removed' on their website while Accord have deleted their page entirely.

https://leedwell.com.au/properties/cent ... 015-159845

The deconstruction of the former Pivot sheds has been progressively occurring over the last 4 - 6 months but it's still probably another couple of months til fully cleared based on their pace so far.

Meanwhile the PADC shed 'K' diagonally across the road is also being pulled down despite looking very new.

A lot of activity occurring on this intersection but not a lot in the way of detail. Online discussions suggest a Bunnings or a Coles may be in the mix but have yet to hear this from a reputable source.

It might be this one. The cadastral boundaries look pretty mixed in the area overall: https://plan.sa.gov.au/development_appl ... -71212-LDE

That one is the Central Pier site. The one I posted is the PADC that's diagonally across the intersection from it.
Central Pier has even disappeared from this site..

And the website for it is down. This one was going to be that home maker centre type development.

To be honest, I won't cry if the outlet doesn't get up or happen. Not really suitable for an area that is encouraging more residential development - unless development is built on top of the bulky goods outlets.

Revisiting another Port Adelaide development - 271 Commercial Road (previously Smiths Port Adelaide) was earmarked for a 'major retail development' with an 'exemplary mix' when purchased by Hans Ehmann last year.

Now listed as 'showrooms and large format retail' with a site plan and rendering available at https://www.realcommercial.com.au/for-l ... -504721648

Doubtful of much exciting happening here.

I wish the government would snap up one of these larger sites that aren't right in the heart of the Port and build a new police station and court precinct and open up the existing site to higher density residential & commercial development.

There is such a lot happening at the Port - a few photos from last weekend of the Colac and of Fort Largs

Fort Largs will have hundreds of new residences and the view from the guns out to sea is pretty special - no wonder the Ruskies were scared off.

Nice to see the Colac restored after a long time vacant. Anything happening with the apartments in front of it?

There are new apartments being built just south of the Colac on the corner of St Vincent St - the steel frames are up but my photo did not turn out :(

Opposite the Colac is Dock 1, where there are dozens of new residences under construction.
