Back on topic and ignoring people that we are clearly better than. Mainly because we collectively have more posts than certain people which means we are more powerful.
So.
King William Tower. Great name but I thought this was King William Tower
Name was changed to like "Adelaide tower apartments" or something.
Otherwise this tower would have legal problems.

Agreed, render though.
Personally I think FT1, Southern Cross Arcade and this (along with the masons tower will) have set a new benchmark for Adelaide.

The skyline will look great.
One thing I appreciate is the Rundle Street streetscape's mix of heritage with towers in the backrgound. Hoping the streetscape around festival plaza (even the railway station) will have a similar feel.

I also love the juxtaposition of heritage and ultra-modern. Shame we can't do anything about some of the eyesores built around town in the intervening period, particularly the 80s and 90s

I believe preliminary works have been approved, final construction approval and commencement proper will kick off next month.
There's considerable reworking of the carpark and supporting structure for this new footprint that is underway.

This is all we know that has been publicly stated regarding approval and construction consent. Pikey Is probably right though.
Built, the construction partners for Walker Corporation’s tower one, has been appointed to begin work on tower two as the plan goes through final consent with the housing and urban development department during March, with plans to have tenants move in by 2027.

Thanks for the info. Seems this one is a pretty sure thing to get built at this point, for better or for worse. Personally I think its a pretty decent outcome for the area, and visually great. Some very valid criticisms though.

Best news for quite some time - a new tallest that will make a real statement.
Hopefully it will go up at the same time as the Keystone project, with the tallest and second tallest both underway - reminiscent of the Crown Plaza and the Realm parallel construction a few years back

Working in this building will be something special I think, similar to festival tower. The views are crazy good.

Wouldn't want a work space in front of that massive clock just outside the window!! Talk about watching your life tick away

When I was at DTEI (now DIT) when they were at North Tce there was a lady that worked on the 4th or 5th level with her office about 4m away from 3 flags on flag poles, whenever anyone called her intrrnally the first question was always "which way is the wind blowing".

Funny for the rest of us, annoying AF for her.

am I losing my mind or has the render changed? I saw another one on my feed today and the angle of the roof seems to be different.
